Operation Heroes Connect is a veteran led nonprofit mobilizing veterans to continue serving through structured youth mentorship, summer enrichment, and community engagement. We operate across Illinois, Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC, building environments where leadership is modeled, discipline is reinforced, and purpose continues beyond the uniform. Our Summer Mentorship and Enrichment Program
At the heart of Operation Heroes Connect is our veteran led summer camp and enrichment experience. Through structured week long programming, youth engage directly with veterans who model leadership, accountability, discipline, and service. Each day combines mentorship with meaningful enrichment including STEM exposure, leadership development, team building, physical fitness, and character-building activities.
Our camps also provide veterans with renewed purpose through continued service. By stepping into leadership roles, they transfer the skills developed in uniform into meaningful community impact.
Our Volunteer Program
Service remains at the core of Operation Heroes Connect. Through coordinated outreach efforts, veterans and community volunteers support families, organize initiatives, and respond to local needs. From holiday drives to community events and international giveback efforts, our volunteer platform allows service members to continue leading while strengthening the communities they serve.
As part of this structure, we operate a two week Camp Facilitator Cohort Program. Week one consists of virtual training in youth engagement, leadership standards, safety protocols, and program expectations. Week two places participants on site as active Summer Camp Facilitators, where they lead programming and mentor youth under established guidelines. This structured model ensures preparation, accountability, and meaningful leadership in action.
