Operation Heroes Connect is proud to serve as the official nonprofit partner for Northern Virginia’s Mr. & Miss Juneteenth 2026 program. Nominate a young leader today for this amazing scholarship and leadership opportunity!
The Mr. and Miss Juneteenth Scholarship Award celebrates and honors young leaders who exemplify education, leadership, and cultural pride connected to the legacy of Juneteenth.
• Winners will be crowned at the Central Virginia Juneteenth Celebration
• Winners will represent the program throughout the year
$1,500 Scholarship Opportunity!
ELIGIBILITY
• Ages 16–21
• Resident of Virginia
• Currently enrolled in high school or an accredited institution
• Demonstrates cultural awareness and community involvement
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
• Completed application form
• Essay (500–750 words) on the significance of Juneteenth
• Two letters of recommendation
• Potential interview (if selected)
